Jack Timothy Townsend

Jack Timothy Townsend, 68, of Lynn, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 23, 1953 to Horace and Margie Townsend. Jack loved to play his guitar. He traveled with Hank Williams, Jr. for around eight years. He was most known for his song “Little Red Riding Hood”. One of Jack’s favorite pastimes was taking his family on vacations to Gulf Shores. Jack was married to the love of his life for 26 years, Tammy. Later in life, he gave his life to Christ and now has joined the love of his life, Tammy in Heaven.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2022 from noon – 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where his funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Lynn Cemetery.

Jack is survived by his son, Timothy Beau Townsend; daughter, Carrie Salter; brother, Horace Townsend, Jr. and special friend and caretaker, Rina Lane.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Dutton and parents, Horace and Margie Townsend.
