Margaret Lena Tidwell Williams

Margaret Lena Tidwell Williams, 95, of Houston, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born on August 2, 1927. She grew up in Houston and was married to her husband, Earl Williams for 59 years. She was a great seamstress, gardener and hard work was her hobby. She loved her Lord and Savior and always loved to spend time with her daughters and her family. She was Nonny to five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. in the Nichols Funeral Home chapel in Addison, where her funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Houston Community Cemetery, adjacent to Houston Church of God in Houston. Brother T.J. Millican will officiate.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Karen (Neal) Woodard and Ladonna (Stevie) Hayes; grandchildren, Corey (Malinda) Hayes, Chann (Felicia) Woodard, Ryan (Jen) Woodard, Cherish (Patrick) Howse and Trystan (Kaydi) Woodard and great-grandchildren, Cayden and Mallory Hayes, Alena and Kason Howse, Ethan and Owen Woodard, Talon, Delia and Audrey Woodard and Karter and Kohen Woodard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Williams; her parents, Elbert K. and Pearl Scogin Tidwell; sister, Stella Tidwell Stewart and brothers, Hollis (Alva), Hal (Maudie), Hoyt (Jewell), Arnold Elbert and Wayne L (June) Tidwell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Children’s Hospital of AL or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
