Dale Wayne Hood, 43, of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023. He was a graduate of Hackleburg High School, worked for the City of Haleyville and was a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. His funeral service was Monday, August 21 at 4 p.m. in the chapel, with Delmer Duboise, Greg Pace and Paul McMicken officiating. Burial followed in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by dad, Chester Hood (stepmom Becky); sister, Twylia Hood Landers and her husband Lionel; step brothers, Dale Galloway and his wife Amanda, Shawn Galloway and Brian Galloway; his wife, Heather; niece, Kaleigh Sazbo; step niece, MaKenzie Galloway and Meredyth Galloway; step nephews, Jacob Landers, Dakota Galloway and Nick Galloway.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Anita Bailey Hood, grandparents, Oneta Harris Bailey, William Edward Bailey, Verdie Motes Hood and Lester William Hood; and step nephew, Joshua Evan Landers.
