Jay Gene Godsey, Jr., 69, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday May 26, 2018 at his home. Jay served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War at the rank of Staff Sgt. He was manager for Panel Craft and was a member at First Baptist Church in Haleyville.
Visitation time with the family will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Haleyville from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. Bro. Nathan Carroll will officiate the service.
He is survived by his wife, Linda A. Godsey; children, Jonathan David Godsey, Jeremy Keith Godsey and Jason Floyd Godsey and his wife, Enjoli; brother, Timmy Godsey and his wife, Sharon; grandchildren, John Barrett Godsey, Kyron Keith Godsey, Elis Drake Godsey and Langston Michael Godsey; sister-in-law, Kay Southern and her husband, William and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Imogene Godsey, Sr.
