Dees’ grandson drafted to the Toronto Blue Jays


Adam Kloffenstein just graduated May 25, from Magnolia High School in Houston Texas. On June 4, he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays to play professional baseball. He is the son of John and Renee Kloffenstein. His local grandparents are Robert and Joan Dees, of Bear Creek.

Adam Kloffenstein has had a baseball bat in his hand since he was old enough to hold one.
Now, at the tender age of 18, he has been drafted to play for the Toronto Blue Jays. Adam graduated high school on May 25, from Magnolia High School in Houston, Texas. He was drafted 10 days later.
Adam is the grandson of Robert and Joan Dees, of Bear Creek. His parents are John and Renee Kloffenstein, of Houston.
Adam was a very accomplished athlete, pitching  for the Magnolia Bulldogs. His young career started out with T-Ball, playing travel ball, elite travel ball and then finishing high school with the Bulldogs.
Adam is 6’6”, 220 pounds of power. He can pitch up to speeds of 97 miles per hour.
“He is a Christian boy,” said his grandmother Joan. “He is a member at Conroe, Texas Church of Christ and is very involved with his community and family.”
Adam is not only talented on the baseball field, he is academically accomplished, graduating with an A average. He was offered a full scholarship at Texas Christian University, but he decided not to take it when he was drafted by the Blue Jays.
Adam is now in Tampa, Florida, training with a minor league team, owned by the Blue Jays.
“We are so very proud of Adam,” smiled Joan. “He is
a good young man and I believe he will do very well playing professionally.”
