BEAR CREEK - Ongoing renovations and expansions at the new Timber Creek Housing LLC industrial site on County Highway 65 in Bear Creek the past several months built up to the official start of production Monday, July 26, and the beginning of a phase-in of workers on their production lines.
Timber Creek Housing is providing a major economic boost not just to Bear Creek but throughout Marion County and the region.
Mike Barnett, general manager, and Todd Evans, vice president of sales, operations and marketing, announced the opening of the 110,000 square foot production site, situated on 25 acres of prime property where the former Crimson Homes was located for many years. The industry also has 6,000 square feet of office space, 22,500 square feet of warehouse space and a 3,000 square foot breakroom, which has been added.
Timber Creek Housing can boast of being the first location of its kind opening in Alabama, with two more locations also planned for the state as well as one in Texas and one in southern Georgia, officials said.
