Tickets for Haleyville Alumni luncheon now available
The Haleyville Alumni Luncheon is quickly approaching. Here is a photo from the 2017 luncheon featuring the Haleyville High School Class of 1967, celebrating 50 years last year.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - Matthew Chambless, band director for Winston County High School and Double Springs Middle School, has announced his resignation, effective at the end of the current school year. Chambless has accepted an opportunity to become the next head band director at Simmons Middle School in Hoover, where he is from originally.
TUSCALOOSA - The Addison Lady Dawgs came out with bats blazing in their first game of the 1A Regional softball tournament Thursday, May 10, in Tuscaloosa. Addison defeated Cedar Bluff 14-1 to advance to the second round, which will be played Thursday, May 10, at 6 p.m.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - Regional Paramedical Services - the main ambulance service provider for Winston County - faced the heat from a large crowd of emergency responders gathered Tuesday, April 24, to voice a strong protest to ways RPS has handled themselves on scenes.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - Amidst brewing controversies with emergency responders over patient care claims and issues, Regional Paramedical Service representatives met with an overflowing crowd April 24, in Double Springs in an effort to explain their staffing, policies and procedures.
