Winston Sheriff's Office receives ADECA grant

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Board of Education meeting was full of accolades for student achievement, including a report proudly given by High School Principal Dr. Erika McCoy, who honored certain students for the highest Growth Target Rates on their academic progress on Jan. 22.

$1.5 million loan approved to purchase hospital

The Haleyville City Council voted on three timely and important measures relating to the hospital at their regular meeting, Monday, Jan. 22.

HALEYVILLE - A loan up to $1.5 million, Letter of Intent and final corporation papers for the health care authority were all approved by the Haleyville Council Monday, Jan. 22, relating to hospital business.

2nd Hospital extension approved

HALEYVILLE - The city, Curae Health Inc. & Java Medical Group reached an agreement Thursday, Jan 18 to keep Lakeland Hospital open through March 31.
