Case against Cantrell dismissed

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Winston County Circuit Judge Lee Carter dismissed with prejudice the State of Alabama's case against Jarod Chase Cantrell, a former teacher and coach at Double Springs Middle School, Wednesday, Feb. 27.  A mistrial due to prosecutorial misconduct was granted on Feb. 22.  Dismissed with prejudice means the case has been permanently dismissed and cannot be brought back before the court.

Wallace State health programs offering new options, curriculum changes
