Intruders sought in home invasion

Suspects wanted in the home invasion reportedly smashed out the windshield of the victim's vehicle as part of the vandalism at the victims' residence in the Poplar Springs area.

POPLAR SPRINGS - Law enforcement have charged three individuals in a home invasion incident that occurred Friday, March 9, when they smashed out windows to a residence as well as smashed a vehicle parked there and entered at gunpoint into a residence, where a couple was locked in the bedroom hiding.

Tax cut coming to Alabamians

WINSTON COUNTY - Governor Kay Ivey on Thursday signed Senate Bill 76, sponsored by Senator Del March, which provides the largest tax break in more than a decade to middle-class Alabamians.

Wreck at Black Pond

BLACK POND - The Black Pond Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene of a one-vehicle accident on County Road 8 Tuesday, March 13, at approximately 7:15 p.m.  Firefighters reportied at least one injury in the accident.

Also, a telephone pole has possibly been made unstable due to the accident.  Motorists are urged to continue to use caution through this area.

Reagan faces manslaughter charge in death of ex-boyfriend


Sherry Dianne Reagan faces charges of manslaughter, possession of marijuana second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
ADDISON - Sherry Dianne Reagan, 58, of 220 County Road 3730, was arrested by the Winston County Sheriff's Office early Friday, March 2, facing charges of manslaughter, in the death of her ex-boyfriend Gary Kenneth Aderholt, 61, who sustained injuries allegedly caused by Reagan during a domestic altercation that occurred at her residence.
