Grady “Gathel” Wynn, 81, of Phil Campbell, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at UAB Hospital.
Gathel was a veteran of the United States Army, where he proudly served during the Vietnam War. He was owner of Wynn Drywall and Construction for many years. Being a God-fearing man, he was a member at Pepperell Baptist Church in Opelika. Gathel was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Gathel is survived by his wife of 15 beautiful years, Bonnie Hyde Wynn; sons, Scott Wynn and Grant Voyles; daughter, Stefanie Wynn Isabell (Dewayne); sister, Robbie Wynn Wise and grandchildren, Drake Isabell (Bailey), Courtney Wynn, Avery Isabell (Bailey), Jacob Voyles, Cooper Wynn, Andew Voyles and Seth Voyles.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Wynn; parents, Gert and Mamye Wynn and sisters, Dula Rae Wynn Kiser and Nelda Wynn Moss.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 10-11 a.m., with his funeral following at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Rusty Sowell will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Drake Isabell, Avery Isabell, Cooper Wynn, Kelly Kiser, Kevin Kiser and Bart Moss.
