William James “Billy” Abercrombie Jr., 84, of Arley, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.
He was born May 30, 1939 to William and Penny Abercrombie.
His graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Old Bethel Cemetery in Arley. Duston Heath will officiate. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
Billy is survived by his wife, Bonnie Abercrombie; children, Nina West, Sherry (George) Ward, Shawn (Angie) Abercrombie and Dana (Josh) Gilbert; daughter-in-law, Benita Abercrombie; brother, Dale Pratt; grandchildren, Amy Heath, Heather Martinez, Paul Abercrombie, Kejum Hayes, Tonya Abercrombie, Grant Ward, Brooklyn Speegle, Loren Hancock, Anna Kate Hardin, John Mark Abercrombie and Blaine Gilbert and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great -grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Abercrombie; parents, William and Penny Abercrombie; brothers, Alton Brown and Noel Brown and sister, Sue Edwards.
