James Calvin Hill, 58, of Arley, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in Decatur.
He was born March 26, 1966 to William Junior and Lois Fay Hill. Calvin was a hard worker. He followed in his daddy's footsteps and picked up logging, which he was great at. In his past time, he enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was out hunting, fishing or just out in his shop working on his wood products. He always wanted to make someone laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and nieces. He loved telling them little jokes just to get a little giggle out of them. Calvin loved with all his heart. His greatest love was that of the Good Lord above and his loving mother. Calvin was one of a kind.
Calvin is survived by his mother, Lois Fay Hill; sisters, Eva (Billy) Barnes and Meletha (Bill) Bailey; brothers, Dean (Cindy) Hill, Lonnie Hill and Onnie Hill; nephews, Landon (Tabitha) Barnes and Austin Barnes; niece, Haley Bailey;and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his, father, William Junior Hill; brother, David Hill and grandparents, William Riley and Vera Mae Hill and Dewey and Ermie Partridge.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the family.
