Freddie Butler, 84, of Haleyville, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at his home. He was retired from Haleyville City Schools, having worked in maintenance. He was a member of Waldrop Freewill Baptist Church in Haleyville.
His visitation will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. His funeral will be at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with Bro. Jeff Boyles and Bro. Ronald Watson officiating. Burial to follow in Littleville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Butler, John McCullar, Jerett Butler, Lyle Cagle, Lance Cagle and Jonathan Ozbirn.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Smith Butler; sons, Kim Butler, Barry (Rita) Butler and Keith (Teresa) Butler; grandchildren, Melissa Henson, Tiffany South, Ashley Ozbirn, Jerett Butler and C.K. Smith; great-grandchildren, Gage Butler, Jon Michael Ozbirn, Brantley Ozbirn, Neal Butler and Emma Taylor; brother, Terry Butler and sister-in-law, Elaine Abbott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Cloa Mayhall Butler; brother, Earl (Gladys) Butler; son, Rodney Dale Butler and grandson, Kiah Taylor.
