Bobby Ray Bishop, 90, of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday July 1, 2025, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Bobby was born to Freddie and Oma Bishop on July 15, 1934. He was a hardworking man who loved and cherished his family dearly. Bobby loved to work with his hands and could often be found wood working. Bobby was a committed and faithful member of Old Union Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held at Old Union Baptist in Haleyville Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 9-10 a.m., with his funeral to follow at 10 a.m. Brother Venlon Bradford will officiate. Burial will be in Old Union Church Cemetery in Haleyville. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laura Scogin Bishop; daughter, Rebecca Bishop Reynolds and her husband Jeff and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Ray Bishop; parents, Freddie E. and Oma King Bishop and sisters, Wilma Cagle and Laura Englebert.
