Edward J. Barton, 94, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025. He was retired from Haleyville Textile and attended Union Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. His funeral will be at 12 p.m. in the chapel, with Chris Chambless officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his grandson, Jason (Jennifer) Barton; great-grandsons, Andrew and Alex Barton; daughter-in-law, Jenny Barton; sister, Faye Thrasher and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Luvenia Barton; wife, Madie Barton; son, Ronnie Barton; 5 sisters, Velma Chambless, Bernice Banks, Pearlie Pickard, Clara Benson and Imogene Mann and brother, Barthal Barton.
