Qualifying for Haleyville BOE election begins July 3

HALEYVILLE - Now that the primary elections have passed and the runoff election is just weeks away, the City of Haleyville is gearing up for another election--places 2 and 3 on the Haleyville Board of Education Tuesday, Aug. 28.
The only two offices on the ballot will be place 2, currently held by Board President Barry Burleson and place 3, currently held by Board Vice President Steve Stott.
Although the election is several weeks away, several important dates should be kept in mind by both voters, as well as any candidate seeking office, according to Haleyville Acting City Clerk Christy Harbin, who is also the election manager.
