Sipsey Summer Sizzle July 7 in Double Springs

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Community Unity has big plans for Saturday, July 7, and everyone is invited to come be a part of it.
Seymour-Durbin Ball Fields off of Highway 195 in Double Springs will be the site for Sipsey Summer Sizzle, beginning at 2 p.m.  An Alabama BBQ Assocation-sanctioned  cookoff with cooks from all over Alabama will be taking place,  along with a car show, with the judging for the car show at 3 p.m.
Vendors are available to participate, but need to contact Community Unity through their Facebook page:  Community Unity - Double Springs, to find out more information.
A food truck will be on hand with treats.  There will also be a Kid’s Zone set up and water slides.  The cost to enjoy the water slides is $5 for an armband for the entire day, with a portion of the proceeds going toward the Winston County High School softball team.

The evening will cap off with a fireworks show at approximately 9:15 p.m., with the Double Springs Fire Department on hand.

For more information, visit Community Unity’s Facebook page.  Proceeds from the event will go to help Community Unity with their mission of bringing residents of Double Springs and beyond together for family-friendly activities that help promote Double Springs.
Everyone is welcome to come out and take part in this latest Community Unity festival.
