Cullman Sheriff's Office to get K-9 unit

CULLMAN - Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded grants totaling $144,000 to upgrade equipment at six law offices in north Alabama, with each department receiving $24,000.

The Cullman County Sheriff's Office will use their grant to purchase a K-9 unit and patrol vehicle with a kennel.

The $24,000 awarded to the Winston County Sheriff's Office, which will be used to purchase new body cameras and new laptops, is fully detailed in the Wednesday, Jan. 31, edition of the Northwest Alabamian.
