Thomas Lee Parker (Tommy), 65, of Phil Campbell, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 19, 2019. Tommy was a retired owner and administrator of the former Heritage Manor Assisted Living of Florence. He was also a long time commercial poultry and cattle farmer on his family farm in Franklin County. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church of Phil Campbell where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, but his greatest joy was his time spent with his eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elton and Myrlene Parker of Phil Campbell.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Brenda Keelon Parker, and his children: daughter Amy Malone (Jason) of Muscle Shoals; son Lee Parker (Lori) of Tuscumbia and son Adam Parker (Amy) of Phil Campbell.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amber Malone, Zach Malone, Trey Parker, Hannah Parker, Emma Kate Parker, Elijah Parker, Sadie Brooke Parker and Paisley Parker; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation with relatives and friends will be Monday, April 22, 2019 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. A private burial will be in Colbert Memorial, Tuscumbia. Pallbearers will be Lester Taylor, Jimmy Pierce, Jimmy Roberts, Ricky Kennedy, Mike Grissom and Kenny Belvin. Honorary bearers will be Tommy’s brothers, Ray Parker, Bobby Parker and Billy Parker, along with the Mountain View Men’s Sunday School class.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mountain View Baptist Church Building Fund.
