Mrs. Wesley "Mae" Mayfield, 93, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Helen Keller Hospital. A native of Marion County, AL, she had lived in the Russellville area all of her life. She was a housewife and mother and was of the Christian faith.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Wade Wallace and Keith Prince. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville.
Mrs. Mayfield is survived by her children: Donna Jo Minter and husband Mark; Rex Mayfield and wife Jean; Mike Mayfield and wife Stephanie; and Sherry James and husband John; sisters: Ann Young and Judy Jones; brother, Gary Yielding and wife Barbara; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eulice Mayfield in 2002; daughter June Mayfield Hester; one grandchild, parents, Wesley Spraggins and Verda Watkins Yielding; and sister, Rose McCarley.
