Elbert K. Jacks, 88, of Clarksville, Tenn., passed from this life early Saturday morning, Dec. 7, 2019. His visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, from 12-2:30 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Nashville. His Celebration of Life will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Bro. Jason Sage officiating. Burial will follow.
Born June 28, 1931, in Haleyville, he was the son of the late Virgle and Bertha Jack. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a faithful Christian, attending North 2nd Ave. Church of Christ in Clarksville. He was a pillar of faith for his family. He excelled as an engineer at Flynn Enterprises in Hopkinsville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Verna Jacks; daughter, Marilyn Bullington and sibling, Agnes Tidwell.
He is survived by his children, Anita (David) Lynn and Teresa (Daniel) Graves; son-in-law, Rhea Bullington; his grandchildren, Lea Ann (Win) Elliott, Gina Lynn, Chad (Laura) Lynn, Brandon (Teresa) Graves, Bryan (Stephanie) Graves and Amanda (Drew) Johnson; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wilton (Truby) Jack and Elton (Margaret) Jack and several nieces and nephews.
