WINSTON COUNTY - Enrollment is now open to all children four years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2020 who are residents of the state of Alabama for pre-registration for First Class Pre-K classes. Online applications for the 2020-2021 school year are being accepted through March 13, of this year.
Enrollees must provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate (which can be uploaded to the application or carried to your local school) and proof of residence. There is no registration fee. Upon enrollment, the child’s immunization record must be provided.

Acceptance is strictly through random drawing to be hold on Thursday, March 19, at 9 a.m. at the Winston County Board of Education. A parent or guardian does not have to be present at the drawing. Notices will be e-mailed beginning April 16.
Public school system pre-k programs may have zoning requirements that determine eligibility to attend a program at a particular school. No child will be denied participation on basis of income, sex, race, color, national origin or disability.
