Local students graduate from University of Alabama

WINSTON COUNTY - The University of Alabama awarded some 6,326 degrees this spring. Among the graduates were:
Emily Aaron, of Nauvoo,  who received a bachelor of art;.
Madisyn Aaron, of Nauvoo,  who received a bachelor of social work;
Joseph Daniel, of Nauvoo,  who received a bachelor of arts in communication & information sciences;
Rachel Gilbreath, of Double Springs, who received a bachelor of science in education;
Ryan Harris, of Addison, who received a bachelor of science in commerce & business administration;
Joseph Lawson, of Nauvoo, who received a bachelor of science in electrical engineering;
Colby Pendley, of Haleyville, who received a bachelor of science in commerce & business administration;
Kayla Voyles, of Phil Campbell, who received a master of social work degree.
The recent change to remote learning during this unprecedented time affected the university's plans for traditional commencement activities. Although any plans are contingent on how the summer outlook progresses, all spring graduates are invited to participate in the summer commencement events scheduled for Friday, July 31, and Saturday, Aug. 1.
