Adam Loden
BEAR CREEK - Adam Loden, an eight-year member of the Bear Creek Fire Department, has been named fire chief by Mayor Rob Taylor, who as former fire chief worked with Loden in a different capacity.
Loden was named by Taylor as fire chief at the Monday, Nov. 16, meeting of the Bear Creek Town Council, where other positions and their rates of pay were announced by the mayor or voted upon by the council.
Loden comes from a family dedicated to community service, including his father, James Loden, who has served on the Bear Creek Town Council, and his brother Eric Loden, who replaced their dad on the council. Adam’s dad and brother are also active members of the fire department.
Adam has been both a lieutenant and captain on the department during his tenure.
“Being a small town, it’s just a name,” Loden said about his new title. “Once we get (on a scene), we all do the same job.”
Adam developed an interest in the fire department since his grandfather, dad and brother are all members.
“I just kind of fell in line,” he said.
