William Floyd “W.F.” Bailey II, 77, of Double Springs, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
He was born September 14, 1943. W.F. was born and raised in Double Springs and was very fond of his hometown. Kindhearted and a loyal friend, he was well liked by everyone who knew him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and spent a lot of time in the woods. He was very big on family and was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
His graveside service will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Double Springs Memorial Cemetery. Brother Shawn Blanton will officiate. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
W.F. is survived by his wife of 54 years, Delores Ann Street Bailey; daughter, Elizabeth Bailey Rogers; son, William “Bill” Bailey III; granddaughters, Krista Suzanne Rogers and Aubree Elizabeth Bailey; grandson, Jarett Chance Bailey; great-grandson, Hunter Kole Patterson; son-in-law, Steve D. Rogers; sister, Joan Bailey Franks and brother, Robert F. Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Alice Hood Bailey; his son, William Anthony Bailey and sisters, Betty Bailey Pollard and Shirley Bailey Gilbreath.
