ADDISON - As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to dramatically rise in Winston County, a decision has been made to abbreviate the Town of Addison’s annual Independence Day festivities in an effort to maintain social distancing and public safety.

MARION COUNTY - The Town of Bear Creek is struggling with paying high water bills due to the town’s decision to not charge late fees or disconnect service to customers paying their bills late.

WINSTON COUNTY - Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is advising nursing home residents who are Medicaid recipients - along with their family members - that they should be vigilant against having their federal stimulus payments improperly taken from them.
