Virgil Eugene Shelton

Virgil Eugene Shelton, 61, of Okeechobee, Fla., passed away Monday, May 2, 2022.  No services will be held at this time.  Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home assisted the family.
Virgil was born Sept. 10, 1960, in Hartselle to Lowell Delain Shelton and Audrey Louise Sullivan Shelton.  He lived in Okeechobee for many years.   He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed shooting, fishing, gardening, loved the outdoors and he loved his family and friends.  He was married to Patricia Sullivon for 26 years.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell Delain Shelton and Audrey Louise Sullivan Shelton.
He is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Partridge, of Okeechobee; daughter, Brandy Sue Shelton, of Perry, Fla.; sister, Cindy Shelton, of Trinity and lifelong friends, LeeAnita Markham and Bruce and Mary Anne Swinford, all of Okeechobee.
