Robert Vaughn Allen passed away on the morning of August 11, 2022, at the University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Allen; his daughter, Kayla Conerly (Jacob); his grandson, Haven Conerly; his son, Justin Allen; his two stepdaughters, Skye and Victoria Cavender; his two step-grandsons, Liam Cavender and Orlen Petree; his sisters, Laura Burris (Milt) and Cindy Szpak (Dan); his brother, Sabie Allen (Elizabeth), as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Robert Vaughn Allen was born September 17, 1965, in Greenville, North Carolina to Robert Sabie and Emmy Lou Allen, who preceded his death. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1984, and followed graduation by attending classes at East Mississippi Community College. In 1988, he began his lifelong career of a truck driver, seeing every corner of the country during his travels. He was known among his family as an adventurer who could recite any route to any city at any given moment. If there was one thing he was avid about, outside of his family and his work, it was NASCAR. There wasn't a race to pass that he didn't know about or watch. On August 13, 2011, Rob was the recipient of a liver transplant at Ochsner's Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. This organ donation allowed Rob to spend an additional 11 memorable years with his family and friends.

Per Rob's wishes, he has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church in Haleyville on Saturday, August 20, at 2 p.m.. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Pinkard Funeral Home is assisting the family.
