Michael Shane Sutherland

Michael Shane Sutherland, 67, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Michael was a Christian and a member of Restoration Church. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Sutherland; children, Nicholas Sutherland, Heather Hoffmann (Max) and Bradley Hardy; bonus daughter, Anita Kincaid (Brandon); grandchildren, Madison Sutherland, Skyler Sutherland, Destyne Rondeau, Gabriel Sutherland, Annelise Kincaid Dawson Hardy, Delilah Hardy, Elias Hardy, Hazleigh Hoffmann and Maddox Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Eleanor Newell, Lincoln Newell, Josie Westbrook and Everleigh Westbrook; brothers, Larry Sutherland, Terry Sutherland (Renee), Allen Sutherland (Annette) and Mark Plunkett; sister, Regina Plunkett, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LaFayette Sutherland and Essie Motes Sutherland Plunkett and brothers, Jerry Sutherland, John Timothy Plunkett.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 11 a.m. - noon at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel of Russellville, with his funeral following at noon. Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery in Phil Campbell. Bro. Kevin Palmer will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Terry Sutherland, Allen Sutherland, Mark Plunkett, Grant Gable, Trandon Sutherland and Gabe Sutherland. Larry Sutherland will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Alabama Hospice of The Shoals' full staff Dr. Karr, especially Norma McLemore for all the love and care given to our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Michael Sutherland.
