Charles Jason Pickens, 49, of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was a member of Union Grove Congregational Church, a 1993 graduate of Phillips High School,1994 member of the UNA Basketball team and a member of the Marion County Sports Hall of Fame.
His graveside service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at noon at Bethel Baptist Church No. 2 Cemetery, with Kelcy Kirk speaking. Pinkard Funeral Home will direct.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Shelia Martin Pickens; children, Briana Kate Pickens and Jada Nicole Pickens; honorary brothers, Rodney Guthrie, Shawn Ricketts and Buddy Moore and uncles and aunts, Duwane and Bonnie Lowlery and family, Peggy Nieto and family, John Stidham and family and Phyllis White and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Ann Stone Pickens.
