Margaret Porter Oliver, 90, of Haleyville, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at her home. She was retired from Haleyville Drapery and a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with Bro. Merrell Potter officiating. Burial to follow in New Bethlehem Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Faye) Oliver, Gary (Joyce) Oliver, Beverly (James) Michael and Patricia (Kenneth) Barnes; sister, Alene Gray; grandchildren, Luke (Jean) Oliver, Brian (Christy) McAfee, Anna (Jaylon) Duncan, Emily Mays, Erica (Andrew) Adams, A.J. Barnes, Isaac (Savannah) Michael and Rachel (John) Bavis; great-grandchildren, Logan Oliver, Blake McAfee, Christian McAfee, David Frost, Paisley Frost, Emma (Jessie) Forsythe, March Duncan, Lola Mays, Hannah Adams, Oliver Adams, Anthony Bavis, Hudson Miller and Preston Michael; great-great-grandchild Finnley Forsythe and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmit Preston Porter and Ida Elizabeth Porter; husband, Isaac "Jr" Oliver; brothers, John Porter and Samuel Porter; sisters, Buna Mae Frost and Eather Dover and grandson, Anthony Oliver.
