Peggy Ashburner Jones was born in rural Franklin County in 1934, the daughter of H.H. Richardson and Jewel Mae Richardson. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. Peggy worked for Flowercraft beginning in 1964 and continued working with the company once it became Distinctive Designs in 1976. She worked with Distinctive Designs until her retirement in March of 1998. Through her job, she traveled all over the world, but was always happy to get back to her home in Hester Heights.
Peggy’s secondary job was doting on all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved entertaining on Halloween, but especially loved decorating for Christmas and hosting parties for her family. She will be sorely missed by her family.
Peggy passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 3, 2024 at her home with her niece Sherrie, and Brandi with Happier at Home. The family would like to thank Happier at Home and Amedysis Hospice for their unwavering efforts in assisting Peggy.
