Charles William Copeland Sr.

Charles William Copeland Sr., 81, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Charles was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church for 56 years, where he served as a deacon for 39 of those years. Charles retired from Reynolds/Wise after 25-plus years of loyal service as a maintenance mechanic

Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 12-2 p.m. at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church. His funeral will immediately follow at 2 p.m., with Bro. Randall Tice and Bro. Sammy Swinney officiating.  Pinkard Funeral Home will direct.  Pallbearers will be Daniel Bagwell, Cody Yarbrough, Jake Copeland, Travis Odom, John Holland and Jamie Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.

Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years "We Survived" Linda Doris Mathheus Copeland; daughters, Glenna Bagwell, Janet Copeland and Stephanie Yarbrough; daughter-in-love, Lisa Copeland; brothers, Lucian Copeland and Rucian Copeland (Sue Dean); grandchildren, Daniel, Heather (Baylie), Cody (Carly), Shelby (Travis) and Jake Copeland; great-grandchildren, Allyson, Aurora, Arya, Archie, Roman, Linlee-Coraline and Everlie, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by son, Charles Copeland Jr.; parents, Price and Mae Lynn Copeland; an infant sister; brothers, Price Millard Copeland and Hershel Copeland and son-in-law, Dudley Bagwell.
