Barbara Elaine Farthing, 75, of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
She was born September 26, 1949, in Greencastle, Indiana to Paul and Helen Farthing. Barbara loved jewel art painting, sewing and gardening. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Barbara was a proud member of Littleville United Methodist Church in Haleyville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 3:30-5 p.m. at Littleville United Methodist Church in Haleyville, with her funeral to follow, beginning at 5 p.m. Burial will be at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Dylan Scott will officiate.
Barbara is survived by her brothers, Robert Farthing and Lowell Farthing; sisters, Cheryl Wiles and Carla Kennington; nephews, Jesse Farthing, Donnie Smith and Paul Farthing; niece, Lisa Farthing and a host of other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Farthing; brothers, Larry Farthing, JD Farthing and Paul Farthing and sisters, Nancy Williams and Phyllis Wright.
