Billy Joe "Joey" Parrish Jr.

Billy Joe Parrish Jr., lovingly known as "Joey," was born on August 21, 1960, in Haleyville and departed this life on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at his home, surrounded by love.

Joey spent over three decades, 31 years, as a dedicated welder at Fontaine Fabrications, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skill. After retiring, he filled his days with the things he loved most — working on cars, relaxing at the beach and spending cherished time with his family. Above all, Joey adored his wife and daughter, who were the center of his world.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Teresa Parrish; his beloved daughter, Tabitha Parrish and his brother, AG “Pete” Parrish, and wife Crystal. He is also survived by his niece, Alicia Hunter and nephew, Robert Parrish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Parrish Sr. and Jerry Lou Parrish.

Joey will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for family, and his passion for the simple joys in life. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, hard work, and love that will be forever treasured by those who knew him.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. His funeral will begin at 3 p.m., with Reverend Marcus Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
