Christine Cooke Gillott

Christine Evelyn Cooke Gillott, 82, of Falkville, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Thursday, December 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Christine was born October 6, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, to Floyd and Dussie Cooke. She attended several high/grade schools, including Addison and McAdory, graduating from Meek High School in 1961. Christine worked for WalMart in Cullman for 24 years, retiring from WalMart in 2019. She married the love of her life, Charles Gillott in 1961. Together, they raised three children. Christine enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with her grandkids. Always cheerful and compassionate, she brought joy to everyone around her and always gave her time selflessly.

Her graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery ,6180 Norris Mill Road, Hartselle.  Nichols Funeral Home will direct.

Christine is survived by her brother, Sammy (Helen) Cooke; children, Deann (Rick) Carmickle, Lisa (Joe) Stover and Lucas (Leighann) Gillott; grandchildren, Ricky (Allegra) Carmickle Jr., Kristin Carmickle, Stephen Mather, Timothy (Madison) Carmickle, Bobby (Leah) Gilliland, Jacob Brooks, Rachel (Mark) Flinn, Trevor Lee, Justin Mather, Katie Gillott and Kendra Gillott and 12 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gillott; parents, Floyd and Dussie Cooke; her brother, Dennis Cooke and her sister, Gloria (Wayne) Scott.
