Judy Barbara Tidwell, 79, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 12-2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville. Her Celebration of Life will follow at 2 p.m., with burial in Mountain Home Cemetery in Bear Creek.
Judy was born to the late Loyd Emerson and Mattie Lou Ellen Penland on October 10, 1946. She was the office manager at Advanced Electronics. She loved music, drawing and painting, family, loved watching fireworks, Elvis and was an excellent cook. Judy was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Some of her favorites were (as she called them) the Mulberry Tree, Fairy Tree. She collected animal figurines and would attach them to her magic Fairy Tree.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Mattie Penland; brother, Emerson Penland and sisters, Wanda Williamson, Jeanette Myers and Dinah Sue Penland.
She is survived by her life partner, Clinton Newell; daughters, Cindy McRae and Rhonda Ballew (Jamie); brothers, Tex Penland and Horace Penland; sisters, Mae Fielding, Joan Bennett and Martha Fowler; grandchildren, Travis Herbermann, Shanda Stephens, Christopher Willard (Elizabeth) and Shannon Vaughn (William); great-grandchildren, Taylor Herbermann, Josh Glover, Ali Willard, Enory Willard, Madalynn Vaughn, Olivia Willard, Izabella Vaughn, Kia Willard, Mavrick Willard and Mason Willard and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
