Senior Center proposed for Arley

The former Traders & Farmers Bank building in Arley is being considered as a site for a possible senior center for residents.

ARLEY -  The former location of Traders & Farmers Bank, which has sat vacant for several years, is being eyed as the location for the Town of Arley’s first senior citizen center, as those behind the planning recently approached the Arley Town Council with their requests.
During the council’s July meeting, Bob and Kathy Cooper approached Mayor Chris Tyree and council members to give updates on a project they hope will materialize for the community’s older population.
“Our project is to get a senior citizens center started in Arley,” Bob began, noting he had reached out to State Representative Tim Wadsworth, who has developed the Arley Community Center beside his law practice on County Road 77.
