ARLEY - The Arley Public is presenting the Bama Brothers at the Arley Public Library on September 25 at 7 pm. This event is open to the public free of charge.
Back by popular request, the Bama Brothers, Tommy White and Corey Sly, will entertain and educate while they share their tested tips and techniques for surviving in the wilderness that encompasses much of Winston county. White, with his degree in Forestry, and Sly with his degree in anthropology, have spent countless hours trekking through forests with minimal equipment and surviving to tell tales about it.
Currently, Sly lives at Fort Tombigbee, site of the original 1737 French fort and supply depot in what is now Sumter county. He has been surveying the area searching for undiscovered plant species.
