DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Peacemaker's Quilt Guild members and the GFWC Double Springs Study Club members welcome everyone to the third annual Quilt Walk and Show Friday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The show will begin at the Little Old Rock Building, located on Highway 195 in the heart of the downtown area. There, you will be able to pick up an entry form, which lists all of the places where quilts will be displayed. The Double Springs Study Club will have coffee, tea and snacks at the Little Old Rock Building for attendees to enjoy.
Thanks to Amy and Lorene from Main Street Yarns, there will be a quilt sign displayed in the window of each location where quilts will be on display. After attendees have visited all of the locations housing quilts, they need to bring their entry form back to the Little Old Rock Building to be placed in a box for the drawing for prizes. The drawing will take place at 5 p.m. at the Little Old Rock Building. You do not have to be present to win - just leave your phone number as you sign in.
Several quilts created by Guild members will be on sale at the quilt display at the Traders & Farmers Bank Community Room. Also, quilting supplies will be available for purchase, and attendees will see a quilt all set up for quilting.
Those who would like to display a special quilt for the show can call 205-489-6205 or 205-486-0221 for more information. Everyone is welcome to attend.
