Winston BOE receives grant

WINSTON COUNTY - Several area schools will receive an upgrade in their heating and cooling systems, thanks to an ADECA grant.
The Winston County Board of Education has been awarded a $15,000 grant to install energy-efficient HVAC upgrades at Addison High School, Addison Elementary School, Winston County High School, the Winston Career Academy and Lynn High School. The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs is administering the grants from funds made available by the U.S. Department of Energy’s State Energy Program.  Governor Kay Ivey made the official announcement Friday, Dec. 21.
