WINSTON/MARION - Community Action Partnership of North Alabama (The Partnership) is currently accepting applications for Weatherization services for qualifying residents of Winston, Marion, Cullman, Lawrence, Walker and Morgan counties.
The Partnership’s Weatherization Programs are funded through grants received from the U.S. Department of Energy in the form of two grants: the Department of Energy grant and the Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program grant. Both grants require the completion of an
application and meeting specific income guidelines of 200% of the Federal Poverty level or below. Applications are prioritized based on a points system for qualifying applicants.
Energy conservation measures are performed on homes of approved income-eligible applicants. Reducing air infiltration, insulating the home and performing other energy conservation measures are conducted on homes at no cost to the homeowner.
Homes eligible for weatherization include those owned by the applicant who resides in the home ,as well as rental homes, as long as the landlord agrees to approve the Partnership to implement energy efficiency measures.
Residents interested in applying for weatherization services may contact Energy Director Angela Ingram by phone at 256-260-3116 or by email at email@example.com.
