Elizabeth C. Ward, 77, of Double Springs, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center.
Elizabeth was born on September 13, 1941, in Winston County. She attended Winston County High School and was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church for 45 years. Elizabeth enjoyed collecting antiques and taking care of her granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Double Springs. A private service will be held at a later time.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, John Ward and Greg Ward; daughter, Beverly Sides; sisters, Marjorie Jean, Mozell Barnes and Sue Hampton and a host of nieces and nephews. She was known as “G” to her grandchild, Lottie Rachael Sides.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Ward; niece, Nina Cockrell; parents, Ben and Dovie Clark; in-laws, John M. and Elsie “Tot” Ward; 1 brother and 5 sisters.
