Meek Elementary supports student battling cancer

ARLEY - Staff and students at Meek Elementary School take seriously their philosophy of “leaving a little Tiger Pride everywhere you go.”
For their January project, the school is helping the patients of Children’s Hospital, especially one of their own--fifth grade student Tyler Manley, who is suffering from a form of lymphoma and facing a bone marrow transplant.
The outpouring of support from this month’s Tiger Pride drive, a new program for Meek Elementary this year, has gone far beyond Manley’s fifth grade class to involve the entire school - kindergarten through 6th grade, noted MES Principal Heather Tucker.
