BEAR CREEK - The Bear Creek Civitan Club will host its annual benefit Easter Bake Sale Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, at the Bobby Bishop Community Center in Bear Creek.
Bear Creek Civitans have been meeting over the past few weeks to plan for this annual event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. While there will be a dazzling and delectable array of cakes, pies, cookies, breads and candies available for purchase, just in time for Easter, there will also be other items. Crafts will be available for purchase, as will homemade Easter baskets, already filled with items for boys or girls - at reasonable prices!
Anyone who would like to donate baked items or any other gift item to help the Civitans meet their goal of raising $6,000 can do so by calling Joan Dees at 205-486-3561 or 205-471-6486, Bobbie Cofield at 205-486-2322 or Bear Creek Civitan President Debby Aderholt at 205-269-4609. Volutneers are sincerely appreciated.
Civitans will have cake and pie totes available for pickup at the Bobby Bishop Community Center on Monday, April 8, from 3-6 p.m. and Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“All baked goods and donations are greatly appreciated when donated from the wonderful people in our area to help conquer cancer,” Dees, who is the Bear Creek Civitan Club’s secretary, noted, thanking everyone in advance for their help with this wonderful annual event.
