DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Winston County Genealogical Society will meet Tuesday, July 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Winston County Archives, located across from the Winston County Courthouse in Double Springs.
This month’s guest speaker will be Donna Schmoll, a DNA researcher from Louisville, Ky. Schmoll will be speaking about genetic basics, selecting the correct type of DNA test and how to analyze and apply test results to one’s genealogical research.
With DNA increasingly becoming a popular tool for family historians to employ when confirming results of their genealogical research, this meeting will be very timely. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
