HAMILTON - As Congress begins its August recess, one of Alabama’s senators is making plans to visit Northwest Alabama to hear from constituents.
Senator Doug Jones will be holding a town hall meeting Monday, Aug. 5, at 5 p.m. at the old City Hall building in Hamilton, located at 422 2nd Street.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and seating will be first-come, first served.
Jones will be reporting on Congress, as well as taking questions from constituents and listening to their concerns.
“At my town hall,, I’ll be taking questions and sharing updates on the work I’m doing to improve health care and address other kitchen-table issues that impact Alabamians every day. My team and I have already heard about a number of important issues, from creating opportunity for young people to addressing the opioid epidemic to the new economic developments coming.
“I’m looking forward to coming to Hamilton on Monday to hear from the people about the issues they’re facing and how we can help,” Jones said.
All area residents are cordially invited to attend.
