Winston County High to have homecoming parade

DOUBLE SPRINGS - School spirit will be shown in full purple and gold colors in Double Springs next week. Winston County High School’s homecoming game will be Friday night, Sept. 13, at Malcolm Blake Stadium. The team to tangle with the Yellow Jackets will be the Tarrant Wildcats. Preparations are underway to bring the football spirit into the school and the town.

Spirit Night will be Tuesday at WCHS. Next Thursday will be the homecoming parade, which will begin at 6 p.m. through Double Springs in the downtown area. Lineup and judging will be at 5:30 p.m. at Double Springs Elementary School. The parade will finish at the courthouse with a pep rally on the lawn of the courthouse immediately following.

The Town of Double Springs is encouraged to come out and show school spirit at the game and parade.

Hicks’ Day is today, Friday, at WCHS in preparation of the football game with rival Addison. Hicks’ Day is in honor of former Addison Coach A.G. Hicks.
