LIVINGSTON - The University of West Alabama held fall commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 14, with President Ken Tucker conferring undergraduate, master and education specialist degrees to students of the colleges of business, education, liberal arts and natural sciences and mathematics and to the school of graduate studies. Nearly 1,000 students in the graduating class represent some 26 states across the U.S. and abroad.
Local students who received degrees were:

Hannah Pendley, of Addison, Master of Education from the College of Education, majoring in special education;
Amy Kinney, of Crane Hill, Education Specialist from the College of Education, majoring in school counseling;
Michael Lindsey, of Crane Hill, Education Specialist from the College of Education, majoring in instructional leadership;
Anna Mauldin, of Crane Hill, Education Specialist from the College of Education, majoring in elementary education;
Ryan Stephens, of Guin, Master of Education from the College of Education, majoring in instructional leadership;
Britney George, of Hackleburg, Master of Education from the College of Education, majoring in elementary education;
Kathleen Loveless, of Haleyville, Master of Education from the College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics, majoring in biology;
Kathryn Scarberry, of Haleyville, Master of Education from the College of Education, majoring in instructional leadership;
Laura Holmes, of Hamilton, Master of Education from the College of Education, majoring in elementary education;
